Kasey Spence is a sophomore level Adrian College student who has been diagnosed with stage three brain cancer. He will need six full weeks of daily treatments. Kasey and his brother Kollin lost their Mother (Kim Seedorf-Spence) in the year 2000 at only 7 and 4 years old. They also lost their Grandmother (Betty Seedorf-Schweibert) to brain cancer in 2005.

Kasey was a great Patrick Henry quarterback and now attends Adrian College. His father, Jerry Spence, does have insurance but treatments are very expensive. We are selling wristbands and accepting donations to the Kasey Spence Foundation to help Kasey get through this very tough time. Wristbands will be sold in Ritchie on Mondays and Wednesdays for $5. Wristbands can also be purchased in the PR Office on campus. A benefit being held to help with Kasey's high medical costs and travel expenses.

Also this Friday, February 8th, Wristbands can be purchased in Ritchie from 12:00-1:00pm. Students who have purchased or who wish to purchase a bracelet will have the opportunity to film a short encouraging shout out to Kasey giving him your thoughts and prayers. The Adrian College PR team will be on site and we greatly encourage all students to show their support for Kasey by participating!

Adrian College is asking all students to give Kasey as much support as possible through his hardship. One can do this by tweeting about Kasey (hashtag #fightwithkasey) as well as liking and sharing events from the Adrian College Facebook page to help spread awareness.
