The leaves fall with hints of red and gold,
as winter draws nearer, autumn begins to unfold.
The sharp morning breeze, the rays of the heating sun,
all are signs that summer is done.
Caramel and spice fill the air,
haunted houses are open if you are willing to dare.
Apples and cider fill every house,
some nights so quiet you can even hear a mouse.
Glowing eyes lighting up every street,
the young little ghosts running around in a white sheet.
Pumpkins and carvings fill every porch,
no longer will we need that burning summer torch.
Summer has ended and winter is near,
but at the moment, Autumn is here.
