Don't forget you were Born to Fly

Why were you born?  What is your purpose on Earth?  How do you view life?  Is your glass half empty or half full? We as humans get the choice to choose how to live our life.  Do you walk through life with a smile on your face, or do you walk through life with your hood up and head down?  Surrounded by storms we tend to forgot our purpose.  As we grow up, we tend to loose sight of our inner child.  We become so caught up with all the drama and work around us, that having fun or doing what we love gets put on the back burner.  We forget how to spread our wings and fly.  Do you remember your dreams, you goals?  How about your childhood heroes?  What made them so special? Why did you look up to them?  My guess is because they were full of life.  As college students we deal with stress and the real world everyday.  We are forced to sit in lectures, read five chapters a night, and work three jobs just to pay for a degree.  Our wings have been clipped.   The word fun has been taken right out of our vocabulary.

Step back, put down your phone, close your computer, stop reading and take a look outside the window.  What do you see?  Today, all I can see is blue skies, green grass and most importantly the sun shining.  Now take a walk outside.  Feel the warmth of the sun beating down on your face after devastating months of winter.  Look around you, take everything in, the sights, the smells even the sounds.  Your still living.  This is still your life.  Sarah Evans once sang,

"My daddy, he's grounded like the oak tree
My momma, she is steady as the sun
Oh you know I love my folks
But I keep starin' down the road
Just lookin' for my one chance to run"

Read it again. The Dad is grounded like an oak tree.  The Mom is steady as the sun.  I keep looking' for a chance to run.  Apply this to your life.  Don't sit around and let life decide whats going to happen to you.  Get up and decide what you want to do.  Go experience new things and be you.  Go jump in a puddle, fall into a pile of leaves, run through a sprinkler.  Don't ever loose your inner child.  Don't loose your inner you.  You only get one life to live and how you live it is up to you.  Don't let school or work or people weigh you down.  Spread your wings and fly.  We were born into this world for a reason.  A reason worth fighting for.  Find out what your meant to do, search for your true meaning.  Never forget, we were Born to Fly!
