Growing up many of us are blessed with wonderful parents and siblings that keep us on our toes at all times. But there are other people apart of our family that are just as important and who have helped shape the person who we have become. Not many people say it, but a big thank you is owed to the cousins who have put up with us over the years.
Thank you for the constant friendship you have always provided. Unlike friends who come and go, I have never once questioned the friendship and bond that we share because I know it is endless. Growing up together has only made that bond stronger and I look forward to where the future is taking us.
Thank you for all being unique and different in your own way. We are a perfect balance and a reflection of one another, our parents and our grandparents. Our family is something special and I am so grateful for the every moment we enjoy together.
Thank you for the constant laughs and memories that we share. I don't know if I can remember a time where we were not laughing at something. Whether it was one of us doing something embarrassing, or we were just laughing for no reason, I definitely gained some years of life due to our shared laughter.
Thank you for understanding our family dynamics. The retelling of stories and understanding the strangeness of our family is something very few people understand. The stories we have heard and learned are something we can pass down to our children in the future.
Thank you for not letting distance divert who we are. I know that time and distance separate us for much of our lives, but the connection we share and time we have together is never forgotten and is always cherished forever.
Thank you for being cousins by blood but friends by choice. Those endless sleepovers, family vacations and holiday breaks with you, made growing up so much more fun. I wish you all success in the future and hope that we can grow together. I can't wait for the day we’re sitting at the “adult table” while our kids are sitting around the “kid's table” making memories and creating bonds like the ones we have. I look forward to the continued traditions that our parents, Grandma and Grandpa have set and created for our family. We really are lucky to have the family we are. So full of memories, laughter and love.
