Graduation is less than two weeks away and I have a confession to make: I have spent too much of my time complaining about this school. The Wi-Fi is horrific, the food is mediocre, there is no nightlife, finding a parking spot is the biggest pain in the butt, and don’t even get me started on the sidewalks when it rains. I could have been a Sun Devil… but I’m a freakin bulldog; a bulldog that didn’t go to Yale, The University of Georgia, or Gonzaga but Adrian College. As I leave this inspiring institution, I can confidently say that it has taught me one crucial thing: be proud to be a bulldog.
The name and size of the college does not determine the experiences you have or the development of your character and wisdom. If you invest yourself in this college for the four years that you are here you will leave a changed individual ready to take on the world. Take advantage of the small class sizes and the massive amounts of opportunity to get involved on campus and in the community to make a difference. Enjoy the little things like the short walks to class, the free printing on campus, the renovated facilities and of course the Adrian College squirrels. This small liberal arts college has so much to offer all you have to do is want to find it. I may not always bleed black and yellow but I am leaving this institution proud to be a bulldog.
