When standing alone, no Bulldog stands a chance. Standing together, we can conquer the world. Here at Adrian College, we are just one person, but we are a family united as one. Homecoming is a time to unite the past with the present. To celebrate the IMPACT and imprint Adrian College Students leave on the world. Together we celebrate friendship, community and the bulldog spirit. We honor and rekindle the characteristics of a bulldog; dedication, faith, loyalty, commitment, drive, moxie, integrity, confidence and heart. This week we caught up with many different Adrian College Students to see what homecoming at Adrian College meant to them.
"Together we celebrate friendship, community and the bulldog spirit."

Honestly, I am not really sure what to expect for homecoming. Being a freshman, I just got out of high school and our homecomings were awesome!! We had activities the whole week and come Saturday we had a game. After the game was when everyone had the best time!! To me, homecoming is all about being with your friends and being in the moment. It means enjoying the great day with your friends and making the most out of it. I'm thrilled for what's in store Saturday!!

Homecoming is about reuniting with past alum, connecting with students to not only watch a game, but to celebrate being a bulldog and sharing stories while also creating new memories. I am most looking forward to the tailgating. I love being outside and spending time with my friends. Adrian College has impacted me because it has provided me the opportunity to pursue the career I have always wanted and to play the sport that I love. I am very grateful for the opportunity that Adrian College has given me.

For most of us, the season of fall embarks change in our lives. It is a time when the leaves change color, the weather turns a bit cooler, and students migrate back to school for classes to start. It is in these weeks of constant change that Adrian College students and alumni anticipate their homecoming. To me homecoming means a big football game in which students, alumni, friends and family gather to show support and pride in Adrian College. It is a time of rekindling old friendships and strengthening the new through laughter and maybe even some tears. As homecoming is quickly approaching, I am mostly looking forward to being around all my friends that I have made here at my second home and reconnecting with alumni. In a way, homecoming can also be a time of great reflection. It can make us realize how Adrian College has truly affected our lives in positive ways. For me Adrian College has made a remarkable impact on my life, and I could not be more thankful for the opportunity to attend this prestigious school. Adrian College has provided me with the skills to grow intellectually, socially and spiritually. Adrian College has pushed me academically, allowed me to find my voice, instilled leadership skills in me that I never thought I would have, and most importantly, it has given me lifelong friendships that I will always cherish and keep close to my heart. AC has given me more than I could ever give in return, and for that I am forever grateful to be an Adrian College bulldog.#GDTBAB

Homecoming to me means everyone coming together and celebrating our community and what it means to be a Adrian Bulldog. I am looking forward to seeing the alumni, participating in homecoming activities and our campus full of life. Adrian college has impacted me because of the people and the connections I have made. They have become my second family and are always there when I need them. Adrian College has helped me to achieve my goals and accomplish things I never could of Imagined. I am grateful and proud to be a bulldog.

AC homecoming impacts me as an Adrian senior because it is time when all the alumni from the past four years come back and share in a day full of Bulldog pride. It is a time to reunite with your best friends who have moved into the adult world, to laugh about old memories, hear stories of years past, and meet some amazing individuals who came before you. It means alumni games, tailgating, and great memories with friends. AC homecoming is a flood of black and gold pride and all Bulldogs coming together to share in the creativity, hard work, and friendship that is gained in our four years on this campus. AC homecoming truly is a great day to be a Bulldog. A day in which impacts me and every other Bulldog as it is a time to truly embrace all it means to be a Bulldog; academically and athletically. A day to remember for years to come.

Homecoming in my opinion is the most anticipated weekend every year at Adrian College. And it goes beyond just watching your football team hopefully pick up a victory on the field. Homecoming is a time to celebrate with old friends, coaches, and teachers and to even meet new people. It’s a time to look back on the memories you made in your four-year tenure along the Bulldog Mile. Seeing the parking lots packed with AC Gold and Black is a sight you wish happened every weekend. Homecoming to me every year reminds me why I chose to attend Adrian College.
I am most looking forward to rekindling the flame with old teammates that I looked up to. It’s always interesting to find out where old friends and teammates are in their career. As a graduate, I hope I can also meet some new players and share my wisdom and insight to them. As a football fan, I am also excited to cheer on the Bulldogs at Docking Stadium as it is usually a sold out crowd every homecoming.
I am also looking forward to watching the baseball team in its annual Black and Gold scrimmage Saturday morning of Homecoming. As a retired Bulldog athlete it will be enjoyable to watch from the sidelines as a spectator and relive the moments I had on that field.
AC has impacted me in a number of ways. At Adrian College I have created countless friendships that will last a lifetime, and AC homecoming is a great way to catch up on those friendships. Along with, connections I’ve made at Adrian College to aid me in a successful career is incredible. Being able to show them how far you’ve come and thank them for their support is amazing.

Homecoming is a day to reminisce and remember why we all chose to attend Adrian College…and a day to tailgate and feel like we are in college again. From bringing old friends back to campus, to recognizing the accomplishments of alumni for their contributions on the field, in the community, or in their careers, to showing the progress that Adrian College has made over the years, it is a day everybody can share together in their black and gold. I am most looking forward to lacing up my skates and skating a few laps around Arrington Ice Arena on Saturday morning with the current members of the Synchronized Skating teams. With it being the tenth anniversary of Arrington Ice Arena, there’s no better time to bring together the skaters who have made an impact on the incredible program we have now. I will always be thankful for the impact Adrian College has made on my life, both as a student and as a staff member. I continue to be inspired by the students I recruit to Adrian in my work at the Office of Admissions, and am always proud to represent this institution at every high school, college fair, or event I attend. The tradition, camaraderie, sunshine, and the Merillat parking lot filled with old roommates, teammates, coaches, professors and friends will make Homecoming 2017 another great day at Adrian College.
Enjoy this weekend, sport your black and gold, rekindle old flames and create new ones. Remember and be reminded what being an Adrian Bulldog is all about. Together celebrate friendship, community and the bulldog spirit.
(Thank you to all of our contributing students and their stories they shared with us)
