Hobbies and interests: I enjoy playing all kinds of sports, but mostly basketball and golf. When I’m not studying or participating in sports, I enjoy watching How I Met Your Mother and The Office.
Plans after graduation: I plan to start my teaching career, wherever I can find a job. I am most interested in working back home, so I can be closer to my family.
Proudest of: The thing I am most proud of is making the Dean’s List every semester while in college.
Biggest Contribution to Society: My biggest contribution to society will be becoming an elementary teacher. In my eyes, teachers have the most influential and important careers. Without teachers, there would not be any other professions. As a teacher, I hope to be a positive role model for all of my students, and push them to be the best people they can be.
Inspiring Adrian Staff Member: My most inspiring staff member is Professor Michele Stansley. Professor Stansley is a new professor, at Adrian College, in the Teacher Education Department. She has taken on such a huge role this year, from helping with the Baby Bulldog Center to being in charge of the Early Childhood Education Department, and I admire how great of a job she has done this year. As one of her students, I can say that she is the most helpful professor I have had at Adrian College. I hope to someday use the knowledge she has given me in my classroom.
What concerns you in the world: My biggest concern in the world is the amount of racism that I have seen throughout the past year. It pains me to see the people of this country acting in such a violent and harmful way towards one another.
Best friends are people who: To me, a best friend is someone that you can trust with anything. Best friends help you through the hard times and are there to laugh with you through the fun times. Best friends are the friends that barge into your house without knocking and your family considers them part of the family.
A thank you to someone who helped get you to where you are: I would like to thank all of my fraternity brothers for helping me adapt to the college environment. If it wasn’t for the guys of Alpha Tau Omega, I don’t think I would still be at Adrian College. They helped me break out of my shell and become the person I am today. I love and respect all of my brothers.
